Purpose
New blogs seem to start up every day and it’s hard to know where to spend your precious free minutes. Which are a waste of time and which will help you do a better job of editing? Learn how to keep on top of quickly evolving web trends with this countdown of must-reads: websites every editor should bookmark, blogs you should be reading daily, online applications you should learn, journalists and techies you should follow on Twitter, bandwagons you shouldn’t jump on, and more.
Presenters
Megan McChesney has eight years of experience in the publishing industry, both online and off. She is the editor and senior web producer of CanadianFamily.ca and 20MinuteSupperClub.com. Before her current position, she was managing editor of Canadian Family magazine and in 2009 took on the added role of online editor.
Graham F. Scott is a part-time web designer and full-time nerd. He is currently Editor of This Magazine, and he designs and manages its website, This.org. He has formerly worked as an Associate Editor at Canadian Business and as an Assistant Editor and in-house blogger for Precedent magazine.
